About This Wine:
“My father has always insisted that wine is the only product he knows which initially creates friendship, then business." -- Denise Marrone

Tasting Notes:
The prince of sweet white wines in Italy. It is yellow and straw-like in color with intense aromas typical of its variety. Delicious white flowers, peach and apricot. Slight frizzante and bright acid ensure a harmonious finish thats never cloying. At only 5% alc. its wonderful for a holiday brunch and essential with desert.

Vintage Report: 2007

Winter was unusually warm and dry and the Spring was hot and summery. While there was some rain in may and June the Summer brought more heat and very little precipitation. The success of all the red varietals is most exciting, however the classic white grapes also did very well. Through out Piedmont yields were approximately 14% below the average.

Terroir: Asti - Piedmonte
Located in the southeastern portion of the Piedmonte region near the town of Asti, this DOCG area is most famous for its sparkling wine.

Grape Variety: Moscato
Muscato wines are noted for their musky, fresh-grape flavors and range from fine, light whites (often SPARKLING) to sweet, dark versions (often FORTIFIED) Muscato grapes are grown in temperate climates around the world in Italy, France, Greece, Spain, Australia, and California. This category of grapes has existed for centuries and is one of the oldest known to man.
